Winter action in the Dolomite Region Kronplatz
Snowy Reischach
Excellent slopes, wonderful snowy landscapes, and welcoming places to take a break - the winter in the Pustertal is simply perfect! Skis on, tied skates, and sled ready? A lot of fun is waiting for young and old from the speedy descents on the skies to the suggestive Christmas markets. And those who prefer it less wild, can go on a cross-country ski excursion through the snowy wonderland or put on the snowshoes and walk through the white landscape.
South Tyrol’s best skiing area

Ready to hit the slopes? Then you are at the right place because the Kronplatz ski area is only 800 m away from Hotel Akelei. Every fifteen minutes, a ski bus passes by our accommodation, transporting you to the ski lifts.
Beginners can try out new carves and pros can flex their skills on the five black slopes. Prepare yourself for 32 ski lifts, 120 kilometers of slopes, and plenty of fun in the sun!
New hobby: cross-country skiing
Wonderful trails
It is very easy: You have just to step into the cross-country ski trail at sports park Reischach and glide along the groomed snow to St. Lorenzen and at the end, the ski bus will take you back to the starting point. Those who want to experience the romantic atmosphere by night can go every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday until 8:30 pm for a night cross-country ski.
Ice skating...
...how wonderful!
Those who love to skate gracefully on the ice can visit the Ice-Skating Ring in Reischach, by day or in the evening on some days too. Those who skate frequently on ice and seek a bit of variety can test the ice at the Intercable Arena Bruneck or the ice rinks in Stefansdorf, Pfalzen, Gais, or St. Lorenzen.

Ready for an action-full descent without a demanding ascent? At the Kronplatz skiing area, you will find exactly what you need!
Two cool toboggan runs are waiting to be conquered by you. The "Korer" toboggan run starts right at the valley station in Reischach. After a leisurely ride with the "Korer" cabin, it's time for a fast descent right next to the slope. Another one is the "Cianross" toboggan run, which brings you to the valley station of the homonymous lift in San Vigilio. Here, fun and safety are guaranteed, perfect for families with kids. So, grab a sled, and off you go!

There are many snowshoeing tours in the surroundings of Bruneck. Whether you regularly practice this activity or try it out for the first time, numerous routes are waiting to be explored.
